ANN UK Home Haemodialysis Special Interest Group

Are you a haemodialysis nurse interested in identifying and supporting best practice for  Home Haemodialysis? The ANN UK Home Haemodialysis Special interest Group was set up in November 2018 by a  group of haemodialysis nurses to do exactly that!

The aims of the group are to:

  • Identify, develop and clarify what is best practice in Home Haemodialysis
  • Provide recommendations for renal units to encourage a standard approach to facilitating utilisation of haemodialysis in the home
  • Create recommendations for nocturnal home haemodialysis
  • Create recommendations for solo home haemodialysis
  • Develop an home haemodialysis nurse training package
  • Work with other established special interest groups within the renal community e.g. BRS Vascular access

Chaired by Carol Rhodes, the Home Haemodialysis SIG are also currently working on producing Clinical Practice Recommendations for Nocturnal Home Haemodialysis.
